market realities and perspectives.
The conference
intends to discuss practical aspects of ICT as well. This
conference is not only to learn from each other's experiences
but also to explore new horizons and perspectives for all
- developed or developing countries. It can also be seen as
a common platform for sharing success/failure stories related
to the use of ICT in strengthening development efforts. And
also chances for exploring new horizons and perspectives for
developed countries by sharing and learning from each other.
For example, it would be very practical and useful for country
like Nepal and others to know how ICT can be used to provide
better health services. Similarly, how we can improve the
quality and/or coverage of education through the use of ICT?
We should see how ICT could be used to educate more poor people,
to provide better and affordable public health services in
rural areas and increase agricultural yields.
It would
wonderful to have papers on the use of ICT in supporting the
following areas of development in underdeveloped settings
with very limited resources. The conference intends to discuss
ways to develop IT as an industry especially in underdeveloped
settings. The conference also intends to discuss various areas
related to creating and maintaining environment conducive
to the development of sustainable IT industries.
